This simple equation is often the first line of defense against getting overwhelmed with information. It’s also a great tool for keeping busy people from getting lost in the shuffle.
The four-firm concentration ratio is the ratio of the number of people who are in a particular activity at the same time per person in a work group or organization. In this example it would be 80, meaning 80 people are in one particular activity at the same time. For example, the number of people in the same activity at the same time would be 40.
That’s why the four-firm ratio is so useful in any discussion about information overload. A good rule of thumb for keeping busy people on the same page is to keep the number of people in the same activity to the same four. So if there are 80 people in a typical activity at the same time, the four-firm ratio is 80/40 = 80.
But if we split up the 80 people into four different groups, their four-firm ratio would be 2020 20. So if our 80 people are in one activity at the same time, they would be 20 people. You can see how having so many people in one activity can actually cause people to get bored.
That’s one of the ways that work-life balance can be so tricky. Just because you have 80 people in a single activity at the same time doesn’t mean that everyone can do that same activity at the same time. If you have 20 people in one activity and 20 people in another, you could have 40 people in the same activity. That’s when everyone gets bored.
If you have 80 people in one activity and 80 people in another, you cant have 20 people in both. You might be able to have 30 people in one activity and 20 people in another, but that doesnt mean you can have 80 people in two activities at the same time. One thing I have heard a lot of people say in my work is that it is very hard to have a work-life balance because so many people are always in the same activity and at the same time.
It is actually true to say that the more things you have in common with others, the less successful you are at work. The same is true in life. We can all be extremely successful if we try hard enough. In fact, it is hard to have a good work-life balance because so many people in the same area always have the same job and the same amount of money. It is much easier to be successful in a single activity than two or more.
The four-firm concentration ratio for industry x is 80. So if you are an actor, you can have very successful careers if you don’t have a job. If you are a musician, you can have successful careers if you don’t have a record deal. If you are a designer, you can have successful careers if you don’t have a college degree. A good example of this is the four-firm concentration ratio for music.
This is especially true for the field of electronic music. Most of this work is in the hands of independent artists who only have a few years of their careers and no real money to spend. If you are an artist, you can have a career if you dont have a job. If you are a musician, you can have a successful career if you dont have a record deal. If you are a designer, you can have a successful career if you dont have a college degree.
This is why so many artists, musicians, and designers have such a hard time getting a record deal, or even a decent studio gig. They’re still working in the same old industry, and it just isn’t that competitive. The four-firm concentration ratio is one of the few ways that independent artists can get a foothold in the industry.
