I’m not a big music industry person or even a music lover. I’m a filmmaker and that’s it. I’ve never been to any of the music festivals like Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and Coachella. I’ve never been to the Rolling Stone party, for example. Yet, I’ve been all over that music scene for the last two months.
After all that Ive been doing, I get tired. And tired of it. And tired of having all those people coming up to me and asking me how I do it. But I also feel a whole lot better because Ive been writing about music for the last two weeks.
The music industry is really hard to get an audience for, but it seems that the music fans have finally gotten a lot of exposure for their favorite bands. And of course there are tons of bands that are getting some good press that are doing really well.
But there are also tons of bands that are doing really badly. And for those bands, the public is showing no concern for their plight. Well, maybe a little. The music blogosphere is still pretty small, and the blogosphere is growing every day. But it’s not going to continue to grow anytime soon.
Why should you care about music blogs? Because they are getting less and less press. Just look at the music blogosphere’s current ranking on Google. You may be surprised to find it’s in the “least-hated” list! That’s because the music blogs have to deal with a ton of different factors. They have to deal with their own fans, marketing, promotion, promotions, sponsors, etc.
Its not just that the music blogs have to deal with a ton of different factors, its also that blogs like this don’t have to deal with all of these factors. They don’t have to deal with their own fans, marketing, promotion, promotions, sponsors, etc. It is almost a given that the bloggers you follow or follow you on Twitter have to deal with all of these factors too. They may even be dealing with some of the same factors.
What you see on Twitter are the people who follow you on Twitter as those people are more likely to be your fans, your friends, and your business partners. What you dont see on Twitter are the individuals who do not follow you. They are not fans, not your friends, not your business partners.
The people you see on Twitter are your network (if you do anything with networking at all). The people you dont see on Twitter are those who dont follow you, who you dont know and dont care. They are your enemies, people who do not follow you, who you dont know and dont care.
I know that we have all been there. We all have a friend who I think I could go out to dinner or a movie with. I dont know their name or their address, so I never see them. I never have their phone number or email, so I never talk to them. You know the type. The type who hasnt said hi to you in a while, or even a few years.
Now I have a few friends who love music the same way I love movies, but they are not the type of people who are very interested in talking to you. They are my friends, but I like seeing them, and I like to see movies and to listen to music that I like. It’s almost like we’re all a little bit weird in some way, but that’s okay. It’s just that we know we’re weird in a weird way that means we’re great.
