We like to think of ourselves as a small company. We work in software engineering at the University of Michigan and we are small enough that we just don’t have a lot of time for employees to get their heads out of their ass. So we have a lot of talented people who are passionate about what they do, but we’re also passionate about what we do.
We are a small team, made up of a lot of people who are all passionate and very driven, but also very hungry for growth and competition. If we want to be the leader of our industry we have to go out there and find people that are passionate about what we do. We have to be willing to work harder than others, we have to be ready to face adversity, and we have to be willing to do whatever it takes to achieve a goal.
How do you find and hire these people? You can’t hire people with the same attitude as you, so you have to find people that are passionate about what you do. If you don’t have someone that’s passionate about what you do, then you will never be successful. You have to go out and find people that are passionate about what you do and then give them a job to do.
