Many people ask me what my favorite dish is, and I always tell them that it’s hard to pick just one! When I was younger, my mom would make the most delicious dinners for us every night. Healthy eating was a priority in our household and she taught me how to cook many dishes that were nourishing as well as tasty. Nowadays, when I get home from work or have some free time on the weekend, cooking dinner is something that helps me relax.
Healthy eating doesn’t have to be boring; you can jazz up your dishes with spices and fresh herbs. Read more about healthy recipes in this guest post food blog here!

Tips for cooking:
Why not share some of those delicious meals that you love so much? Sometimes we just need other people’s advice on what they enjoy as well! My favorite dish might not necessarily be your favorite dish, and that’s okay. Healthy eating is about finding what works for you!
Tips for handling cravings:
We all get them sometimes. Healthy eating is important, but it doesn’t always have to be so rigid that you feel like doing anything other than going on a binge. When I’m craving something sweet, I’ll grab some fruit and blend up my favorite smoothie recipe with yogurt, frozen berries and Greek yogurt.

One of the most important aspects to good eating habits is proper portion control. Healthy food can quickly turn into an unhealthy situation if you are not paying attention to how much you are consuming. I’ve always had a problem with this, but now that I have my blog it makes me more aware of what and when I am eating, which has helped tremendously in curbing poor choices. Paying close attention to your portions will help keep them under control without feeling deprived or starved!

I love to cook and try new recipes with my friends! One of our favorite dishes is a really light tomato soup that tastes amazing but doesn’t pack on calories or fat like some other soups can do. Sometimes we don’t have time in the mornings to make this recipe before work so it’s nice because you can also just put all these ingredients together at night then refrigerate them until morning when you’re ready to eat breakfast and drink your healthy soup!
- Tomatoes (we use canned cherry tomatoes)
- Onion
- Garlic cloves
- Basil leaves (optional)
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper for taste or you can use your favorite spices
- Filtered water
- Healthy crackers that are whole grain, gluten free or low in calories
