Here’s a DIY truck bed bike rack that uses an old box truck bed that’s been converted into a bike rack. It has a hook on the side so you can hang your bike or rollerblade, and it’s designed to look like an old-fashioned pickup truck.
It’s not that I want a truck bed bike rack to look like a pickup truck, but I would definitely make mine smaller. My truck bed is about eight inches deep.
And now for something I never heard of before.
This one reminds me of something my sister called “Cinderella’s House”. I had no idea that those two things were related. Its a bicycle rack that you can put on your bike that has a hook on the side so you can hang your bike or rollerblade, like Cinderella’s house. I think the most popular thing to do with a truck bed for a truck bed, if you’re going to make one, is to leave it empty. The thing about a truck bed, the more it’s empty the more space it takes up, so you end up with a long, narrow bed that looks like it’s made for a truck with a trailer.
The only problem with this is that when you get a lot of empty space in the bed, you can end up with more room to get into, which is just wrong. And it’s not just that you’d have to lift the bike up with a crane to get to your other wheels, its that you would have to take up more room.
Not to mention that you would have to go through the entire bed to place the bike rack, which not only seems like a bad idea, but one that makes it much harder to get it there. But then you get to the point where you do have to make one, and its basically a bed with two seats in it made out of a pickup truck bed. This is what makes it so fun.
